Area scores for Tuesday Night

Dickson Softball rolled behind starting pitcher Holly Thompson who pitched a two hitter and won 12-1 over Springfield

Dickson Baseball pulled out a win over Springfield tonight 5-3, their second in as many days.

Cougar soccer defeated Kenwood 8-0 and Coach Cardona will be a guest on the RFC Sports Hour Wednesday night at 6pm along with some select players.

Creek Wood baseball dropped its second straight game to Camden 13-2 Tuesday night at Camden.

Brett Jackson had a perfect game for the Charlotte Lady Tigers who won 10-0, beating William James in a cross town rivalry game.

The boys also won for Charlotte beating WJMS 11-5.

Recapping Monday night’s action in the county with results as of noon on Tuesday

Creek Wood Baseball traveled to Waverly and got the win 14-1 last night, they’ll play the second game of the home and home series tonight at Creek Wood at 7pm

Dickson County Softball also played at Waverly and won as well 10-4. The Lady Cougars are set to host Clarksville tonight at 5:30pm.

Both Charlotte Middle Baseball and Softball were in action last night and picked up victories. The boys defeated Cheatham 11-7 and the Tiger girls beat Hickman Middle 11-1.

Charlotte Falls Just Short

On Saturday night, the Charlotte Lady Tigers had a rematch against the Sycamore Lady Knights for the Class AA Sectional Championship at Charlotte. Sycamore was one of the only teams to beat Charlotte this season, and CMS was fighting for a title on its own home floor, so this clash was destined to be a battle–and it lived up to all the hype.

The two squads knew each other extremely well at this point, so the defense was at an all time high. Every point was at a premium, as the Lady Tigers were led by MacKensie Broadway and Riley Kilian with six big points each. However, the Lady Knights had just enough offense to edge out the Black and Gold 21-19 to take an unofficial State Championship, while Charlotte takes home a strong second place.

Braressa Deloach added five points for the Lady Tigers, while the durable Becky Melton added two points for Charlotte in the runner-up finish at home.
